Cornuda Social Initiative Aims to Support Vulnerable Groups Through Local Collaboration

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteers’ organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The aim of the project is to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
