Cornuda Social Support Project: Community and Local Authorities Collaboration

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and enhance the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring vigilante services and coordinating among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable members of the community.
