Cornuda Launches €100K Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to roughly one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
