Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Lives of Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated budget for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and EU grants.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring security services and coordinating the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
