Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
