MAG, Guided Tours and Exhibitions: August Program in Riva del Garda
The Museo Alto Garda (MAG) in Riva del Garda has announced its August programme, featuring guided tours, city-history routes, evening openings of the Torre Apponale and temporary exhibitions. Key events include a sensory experience on 6 August at 18:00 and a walk dedicated to architect Giancarlo Maroni on 9 August at 10:30, alongside ongoing shows at MAG venues.
The guided visit “I sensi dell’arte” (6 August) will take participants through artworks using sight, sound, touch, taste and music linked to the works, ending with a refreshment curated by Agraria di Riva del Garda. The activity costs €10 per person and requires booking via the MAG website. On 9 August, the route “Giancarlo Maroni. L’architetto del Lago,” led by professor Maria Luisa Crosina, will start at the MAG and pass by buildings designed by Maroni, including the Ponale hydroelectric plant and Spiaggia degli Olivi; it costs €3 plus the museum ticket and does not require pre-booking. The Torre Apponale will extend its hours—open 10:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Wednesday and until 22:00 from Thursday to Sunday—after 165 steps, offering views over Riva’s rooftops, Porto Catena and Lake Garda. Exhibitions include “Baricentri. Identità urbane dei quartieri 2 Giugno e Degasperi” and “Visitate il Garda.
