Cornuda Social Support Project: Collaboration to Improve Elderly Care

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project for the support of the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various participating components.
