Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launch Enhances Elderly and Disabled Support

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
