Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Enhance Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Attending the event were some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring monitoring services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
