Cornuda Social Support Project Advances with Community and Institutional Partnership

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration committed itself to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
