Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
