Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Wellbeing

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
