Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launch Supported by Local Authorities

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which is planned to last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordinating among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
