Cornuda Social Support Project Launched to Aid Vulnerable Groups

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
