Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Initiative Boosts Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also fostering moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in the organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
