Cornuda’s 1996 Social Inclusion Project Boosts Support for Vulnerable Groups

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, members of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and EU funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed itself to support the initiatives, guaranteeing surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
