Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and Institutional Collaboration

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the meeting hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the target groups. Additionally, social transportation will be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
