Community Initiative Launches Support for Vulnerable Residents in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker groups. Additionally, social transportation will be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
