Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Local Partnership
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need. Social transport will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
