Community Support Initiative Launches to Aid Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention took place at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association (associazione di quartiere), and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will have a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
