Brescia Police Uncover Illegal Waste Disposal Operation at Montichiari Workshop

Brescia police, in collaboration with ARPA Brescia, inspected a mechanic workshop in Montichiari for environmental and safety violations. Authorities found evidence of illegal waste management, including storage of used oil tanks, filters, tires, and scrap materials, in breach of environmental laws. They also discovered unfiltered discharges of process liquids directly into wastewater systems, leading to sampling of contaminated wells.

Following investigations, the workshop owner was charged with illegal waste management and fined €2,582 for unauthorized activities. Mechanical equipment used in repairs was seized under administrative seizure orders. Further inquiries are ongoing to identify additional violations.
