Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Boost Community Inclusion

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the lobby of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which is scheduled to last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union resources.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the target groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.
