Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Regional & EU Funding
Beginning of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and EU grants.
Planned Activities and Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the target groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
