Cornuda Launches 2-Year Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, is particularly aimed at improving the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need. Social transportation will also be expanded, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
