Community Initiative Launches Support for Elderly and Disabled in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, an agreement was signed in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community sources.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need. Social transport services will also be enhanced, alongside institutions, listening centers, and gathering spots.
