Regional Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups in Cornuda
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Goals and Funding
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Additionally, social transport services, as well as listening and meeting centers, will be enhanced.
