Cornuda Social Support Project Aims to Boost Inclusion and Community Care

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives from local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union resources.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker categories. Additionally, social transportation and the institutions, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
