Municipal Initiative Supports Vulnerable Residents with Community and Social Programs
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and community funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transport services and institutions, listening centers, and gathering spaces will be enhanced.
