Cornuda’s 1996 Social Inclusion Project Boosted by Regional Funding

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative‘s implementation is about one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories. Social transports and services will also be enhanced, along with listening centers and gathering places.
