Cornuda Social Support Project Launch: EU Funding & Community Involvement

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weakest categories. Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
