Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the socially most vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Financing
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering points will be enhanced.
