Cornuda Social Support Initiative: Collaboration for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which lasts two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and EU funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.
