Cornuda Social Welfare Project Launches to Support Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention for signing a project supporting the most socially vulnerable individuals was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of Quartier Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total allocated sum for the implementation of the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will also be expanded.
