Community-Centered Social Inclusion Project Launched in Cornuda
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the realization of the’ initiative totals about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering spots will also be enhanced.
