Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Local Support and Funding
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.

l’ Municipal Administration has committed itself to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.
