Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Partnership Aims for Inclusion
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker categories.
Social transport services, support services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
