Community Support Initiative Launched in Cornuda in 1996
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day in June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer associations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Community funds.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transportation, services, listening centers, and gathering spaces will be enhanced.
