Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Regional Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day of entries in June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the socially most vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which lasts two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total sum allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need.
Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering points will also be enhanced.
