Cornuda Launches Social Inclusion Project for Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project dedicated to the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims especially to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
