Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Boost Community Inclusion

Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the end of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Goals and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of ’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Planned Objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.
Transportation services, social services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be strengthened.
Purpose and Social Inclusion
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
l Municipal Administration has committed itself to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in the’ organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
