Cornuda Social Welfare Project Launches to Support Vulnerable Citizens

Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project aimed at aiding the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in ’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.

The Role of Institutions and Associations
the Municipal Administration has committed to supporting initiatives by providing surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.
