76th CentoMiglia del Garda Returns From Villa Bettoni
The 76th CentoMiglia del Garda was officially presented at Villa Bettoni in Bogliaco di Gargnano, outlining the 2026 program and technical updates. The regatta will run from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September, with sailing events across the lake including races for cabinboats, youth dinghies and inclusive sailing. The event is organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation.
The 2026 competition will feature two trophies: the Trofeo Gargnano on Saturday 5 September (8:30 start, Bogliaco–Gargnano–Desenzano–Bogliaco) and the Trofeo Gorla on Sunday 6 September (8:30 start, Bogliaco–Limone–Torbole–Malcesine/Navene–Bogliaco). Among the announced changes, the Desenzano buoy will be moved further north due to the presence of the Frecce Tricolori, and Sunday will include two buoys in the Trentino area to bring the fleet up to Torbole before the shift toward the Malcesine/Navene buoy near Fraglia Vela Malcesine. On the water, the weekend starts Friday 4 September with the Homerus Regatta for visually impaired sailors and the first day of Cento Junior, followed by Cento People on Sunday (9:00 start, Bogliaco–Brenzone–Bogliaco), with final standings expected around 18:30. The technical direction may apply the ORC All Purpose Time on Time system.
Off the water, the schedule begins Friday with a talk show at 17:30 and the official opening at 18:30, followed by a show at 21:00; Saturday will add music and entertainment, including a performance by Omar Pedrini, a DJ set and a cover band. Fineco is the main sponsor, with partners including Heineken, Wyler Vetta, Cantieri del Pardo, Turboden, A2A, Euroimmobiliare and Consorzio Garda Lombardia. The choice of Villa Bettoni also recalls the event’s history, as the original CentoMiglia trophy was donated by Alessandro Bettoni in 1951, and the presentation was attended by Circolo Vela Gargnano president Francesco Capuccini and vice-president Gianpaolo Montagni, alongside Raffaele Valsecchi, who discussed the technical aspects.
