Bardolino Keeps TARI 2026 Unchanged as City Absorbs Part of the Costs
Bardolino has kept the 2026 Tari waste tariff substantially unchanged despite higher overall service costs. The municipal administration approved the new rates by aligning the amount collected with the previous year, using funding measures to prevent the increase from falling directly on residents and businesses.
For 2026, the approved Economic and Financial Plan for the Verona Nord basin sets the total waste management service cost at about €2.9 million. To cover the gap, the Comune drew on several sources—including revenue from the tourist tax, recovery of tax evasion, national ministerial contributions, and other extraordinary income—so the amount to be collected through Tari is expected to be around €2.6 million, consistent with 2025. Tariffs will continue to follow national rules and the criteria set by ARERA, with the Tari social bonus confirmed for eligible low-income households, granted automatically and providing a 25% reduction based on the required ISEE thresholds.
Payments are due in two installments: the first by 31 August 2026 and the second by 31 December 2026. Residents can also pay the full amount in a single payment by 31 August 2026.
