MAG Museum Alto Garda: Weekly Events in Riva del Garda
The MAG Museo Alto Garda in Riva del Garda will host three events from July 8 to 12, mixing guided visits, history-focused activities and family programming, with several initiatives free or available without booking. The schedule spans Porto San Nicolo, Forte Garda, the historic centre and museum spaces.
On Wednesday, July 8 at 8:30 pm, the programme opens with “La guerra e proprio finita. Finita!”, an evening based on testimony by local lawyer Giuseppe Bresciani in the final days of World War II. The event starts at Porto San Nicolo near Forte San Nicolo, continues with a night excursion to Forte Garda, and includes a multimedia show with Sara Maino and music by Enrico Merlin. It draws on diary entries dated April 24 to May 3, 1945, with historical images from multiple archives; the event is free and does not require reservation.
On Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 am, “Museo nella città. La Riva ebraica” offers a guided tour of traces of the Jewish community in Riva’s historic centre, led by Maria Luisa Crosina (meeting cost: €3, plus the museum ticket; no booking needed). On Sunday, July 12 at 10:30 am, “Missione ai forti” brings families to Forte Garda for games and challenges to explore soldiers’ daily life and the fortifications’ history; it is free and also requires no reservation. During summer, the Torre Apponale will remain open until 10:00 pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through July, August and September.
