Brenzone Revives Festa dell’Agola and Antica Festa de l’Óndes de Luj

Brenzone sul Garda will host two local tradition events on 10 and 11 July 2026, featuring religious celebrations, community activities, food stalls and live music. On Friday 10 July, Castelletto will hold the Festa dell’Agola and Madonna della Salute, marking its 190th anniversary, while Saturday 11 July Castello will stage the ancient festa de l’óndes de Luj.

The Festa dell’Agola takes place along the lakeside and in Piazza MMD Mantovani. The programme starts at 5:15 with the Virtual RUN5.30, a non-competitive 5.3 km run/walk with start and finish in the square and refreshments on arrival. At 10:30 there will be Mass followed by a procession for the Madonna della Salute, and from 19:00 food stalls open, with live music by “Klaus The Voice” from 20:30. On Sunday 19 July, a Mass and the blessing of boats and the lake are scheduled for 11:00 in Piazza MMD Mantovani.

In Castello, the festa de l’óndes de Luj is organised by the Oratory Santa Maria recreation centre. Events begin at 6:00 with Mass, followed at 6:30 by a pilgrimage through the village streets, and at 8:00 with another Mass in Assenza. The day returns to Castello for a solemn Mass at 10:30 and a refreshments moment at 11:30. In the afternoon, inflatable attractions and a baby dance run from 18:30 to 20:30, food stalls open from 19:00, live music is set for 20:30 with Gigio Valentino, the lottery drawing will be at 23:00, and a DJ set with “Klaus the Vojce” follows at 23:30. If bad weather occurs, the event will be postponed to Sunday 12 July.
