Lonato’s Festival Returns to Rocca From August 10–13
Lonato in Festival returns to the Rocca in Lonato from 10 to 13 August for its 14th edition of contemporary circus, with one show each night in an arena set up in the park. The event runs alongside the Eatinero Food Truck Festival, which is free to enter.
From 10 to 12 August, the lineup pairs “Ricordati” by Luca Terranova with “Time to Loop” by Duo Kaos. Terranova’s production blends contemporary magic with a story about a man who wakes up without memory in front of a magician’s tools, while “Time to Loop” is performed by two acrobats using bicycles and focuses on grips, releases and balance; the two shows are presented back-to-back in a single evening for a total duration of about 65 minutes. The closing night on Thursday 13 August features Circo Zoé with “Interlude,” a new production designed for the Rocca spaces and combining trapeze, aerial fabric, hoop, Chinese pole and live music with alternating acrobatic performance and electronic/instrumental sound.
Food trucks, craft beers, sweets and ice cream are available throughout the festival, and before and after each show the Piccola Orchestra a Pedali provides mobile comedy-music entertainment. Tickets for arena performances cost €10, with reduced prices of €5 for children and teenagers aged 4 to 14; the Eatinero food area remains free.
