Peter Braschkat Remembered in Arco at Collegiata Church Ceremony

A Catholic and Evangelical Protestant ecumenical memorial for Peter Braschkat, a music teacher and Arco’s honorary citizen who died in recent days, will be held on Wednesday, 29 July at 8:00 p.m. at the Collegiate Church in Arco. The City of Arco has organized the ceremony for people who knew him during his stays in the town.

Braschkat was the driving force behind the Pasqua Musicale Arcense, a festival conceived from an idea developed in 1973: using music to connect European cultures. The municipality describes him as having served as artistic director for the event in recent years, and the remembrance message highlights this vision of music as a cultural link between nations, which also reflected his longstanding bond with Arco. The service will be led by Don Francesco Scarin and Pastor Anton Geiser, with music performed by Nicola Ulivieri (bass), Enrico Toccoli (organ) and the string ensemble of the Camerata Musicale Città di Arco.
