Bardolino Joins Regional Initiative to Protect Trees in the Po Valley

The Municipality of Bardolino has joined the “Alberi in Pianura” initiative, promoted by the Veneto Region and managed by Veneto Agricoltura, to expand public and private tree cover, support biodiversity and improve environmental quality. The programme began on August 10, 2026.

As part of the initiative, Bardolino residents can request free plants—up to 10 per household. The available species come from Veneto’s native flora and include trees and shrubs, to be selected based on the space available and the characteristics of the planting site. The online procedure allows users to view the species list and book their plants, with applications due by September 30, 2026.

To participate, residents must fill in the reservation form in the dedicated citizens’ section. The process generates an Excel file summarising the request, which must be emailed to the Comune by September 30, 2026 with the subject line “Alberi in Pianura – Nome e Cognome” (mailemanuele.longhin@comune.saonara.pd.it). After submission, residents will be contacted with pickup instructions, with plant distribution expected in November.
