Montichiari’s Night of Culture Opens Museums and Historic Center Until 11 PM on September 5
The first “Notte della Cultura” in Montichiari will take place on Saturday, September 5, from 6pm to 11pm, across the historic centre and the city’s museums, with free entry to participating venues. The programme includes guided visits, workshops, music, theatre, readings and exhibitions.
The event will connect different cultural languages such as painting, dance, photography, literature and live performances. At Museo Lechi, visitors can collect from 6pm a “Passaporto della Cultura”; completing at least six stamps out of eight will earn a prize. In Piazza Santa Maria, Paint & Drink Art Experience runs from 5.30pm to 8pm, followed by Volteggiando nell’arte from 9.15pm to 10.45pm; the Pinacoteca Pasinetti hosts the workshop “Quadri, libri e un mistero,” while Museo Lechi offers readings paired with artworks.
Further highlights include a special opening of the Museo Lechi library at 7pm, guided tours at Teatro Bonoris from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and “Montichiari mai vista” at the Risorgimento museum from 8pm to 9.30pm. Piazza Teatro features the show “Tutto sotto controllo (quasi)” at 9.15pm, the Civic Gallery presents a group painting exhibition, Corso Martiri della Libertà hosts the photo show “Dal generale al particolare,” and Via Trieste holds a book market. At PAST (Palazzo dell’Archeologia e della Storia del Territorio), workshops in ceramics, painting, sculpture and wood engraving run from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, while Castello Bonoris hosts “Note in castello” from 9.15pm to 10.45pm; the Duomo of Santa Maria Assunta can be visited with parish youth-guided tours. All participating museum sites will be free from 6pm to 11pm.
