Feralpi Siderurgica has recently secured a €170 million financing to promote the production of sustainable steel as part of its 2022-2026 industrial plan. This Sustainability Linked Loan, backed by SACE Archimede, aims to support investments that reduce the company’s environmental impact while increasing efficiency and production capacity. The financing is divided into a €120 million Capex tranche and a €50 million Refi tranche, with the goal of achieving specific objectives related to environmental sustainability and ESG risk management.
The president of Feralpi Group, Giuseppe Pasini, emphasized that this step represents a concrete commitment to reducing environmental impacts, highlighting the importance of balancing economic growth with respect for the environment. The banks involved in the operation include BNL BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Italia, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Unicredit, among others. The SACE guarantee enables Italian companies to obtain long-term financing with coverage of up to 70% of the requested amount.
